This project is a continuation of my pandemic project from 2020. The first beat tape was more of a collection of beats that I either put vocals on or submitted to other artists. This project began and ended with the intention to play like an instrumental album. About 30 beats were made and was edited down to 11. The music created from this album ranges from 2019 to 2022.

Artwork was created by Jinnah Choi. The concept of this art furthers the story of our girl from Vol. 1. Vol. 2 represents an older, more seasoned human experience. Depression and anxiety play a huge part in my creative process, often times fueling most of my projects. Music being a release from my sadness, and the emphasis of deadlines easing my anxiety; forcing me to accept the work wherever it lands at that given time.

I love this project. It’s a collection of beats that brought me lots of happiness and affirmation. It’s where I can zone out and bring a world to life that only exists in my brain. Vol. 2 is the extension of the soundtrack to my super chill life.
