My father who resides along side the creator of the universe. This is a letter to externalize and make public my sincerest gratitude for all that you’ve done for me over the last couple of years. My life is moving at an immense pace, and this year is the first year I completely lost track of time and forgot the anniversary of your passing. My sincerest apologies for not paying my respects as I usually do, and I will continue to keep my promise next year when it lands on that very significant day again.
Pop.. I miss you. At the age I’m at right now, there are many questions that only you can answer for me. I am my fathers son, and truth be told I know I am becoming more and more like you everyday. Please bless me with your wisdom and strength! The evils of this world are real, and I am being tested every day of my life.
I know mom misses you more than ever now because I’m no longer around to take care of her like I used too. Forgive me for my neglect; however, I’m at a point in my life right now where I feel it’s necessary to make my own path, as you did when you were my age.
God,
Thank you for your continuous provisions. There are moments when I dodge bullets and maneuver around much unwanted torment. I know you are real. I am sure that you watch over me. Please help me battle my addictions, and help me to truly love my neighbors. Please help me find a wife with enough strength to move mountains, and the gentleness to allow me to take care of her. Again Lord, thank you for your provisions.
